Structural Authority™ SEO by Tom Neely

SEO Notes

This is where I share practical SEO thinking — observations, lessons, and the kind of straightforward notes I would give a client. No filler, no hype, and no invented results. The focus is on what I see in real SEO work: structure, technical foundations, on-page clarity, internal linking, content planning, local visibility, and off-page authority.

SEO changes constantly, but the fundamentals still matter. These notes are meant to capture the thinking behind the work, not just repeat generic advice.

What You’ll Find Here

This section will be used for practical notes, observations, and lessons from SEO work and testing. Topics may include technical SEO, link building, local SEO, WordPress SEO, keyword research, content planning, internal linking, and the reasoning behind decisions that shape a campaign.

The goal is signal, not volume. I would rather publish something useful when there is a real takeaway than fill the page with generic posts.

SEO Observations

Search does not always behave the way simple checklists suggest. Rankings, indexing, local visibility, content performance, and link impact can all vary depending on the site, market, competition, and platform.

This is where I share observations from the work itself: what holds up, what looks overhyped, and what deserves more attention than it usually gets.

Technical and On-Page Notes

Many SEO problems come down to structure, crawlability, relevance, and clarity. A site can have useful content and still underperform if search engines struggle to understand how the pages fit together.

Notes in this area may cover site architecture, internal linking, indexation, title and heading structure, content cleanup, schema opportunities, and other technical or on-page details that quietly matter.

Link Building Notes

Off-page work needs context. Links should support the structure of the site, the right pages, and the right strategy. They should not be treated as isolated numbers on a report.

When I write about link building here, the focus will be on planning, relevance, pacing, anchor logic, controlled networks, guest posts, and how off-page authority fits into Structural Authority™.

Local and Broader SEO Notes

Some notes will focus on local search: Google Business Profile, service-area pages, citations, reviews, and local landing pages. Others may cover national or international SEO, where structure, targeting, and content planning become even more important.

The market changes, but the questions stay similar: what should rank, why should it rank, and what needs to support it?

Keyword Research and Intent

Keyword research is not just about volume. Competition, search intent, business value, and realistic opportunity all matter. A smaller keyword with the right intent can be more useful than a larger keyword that does not match the business.

This section will include notes on how I think about keyword choices, page mapping, intent, and prioritizing what to build first.

Real Notes, Not Fake Proof

I will not publish invented wins, fake screenshots, made-up rankings, or client stories without permission. If I share an example, it will be done carefully and honestly. Some details may stay private because client strategy and link work often require confidentiality.

The goal is to be useful without pretending that every lesson needs a public trophy attached to it.
